    actually among the judges only randy genuinely rooted for archuleta. both simon and paula were all for cook. the finale may not spell that out but it’s the truth. simon liked cook way better. he said that on every talk show he appeared on

    except he never ever got it right, except for with carrie. in season 5, he did not predict taylor, in season 6, he did not predict jordin (he predicted melinda), and in season 7, simon predicted david A. so he just got it right one year, out of 7. and in all these years, Paula actually got it Right almost every single year. for example, she was the only one rooting for cook last year. She has a much better track record than simon. but hey, i dont think its a competition.

    Actually I think I figured that out. The judges didn’t get the results until America got them, but they got more than what we got. They got to see how “many” votes they received every single week. My guess is that he saw Carrie exceed with the votes every week and that she got far more any other idol ever had and made a sound prediction from that. I also think that’s how he predicts who will be the winner each year. He uses science.

    I didn’t know they made one of these for Carrie, too! I thought it was just for DC. Loved his, too.

    About the Carrie vs. Kelly thing, I don’t get it. They’re two completely different artists. Both are very talented. The only difference is Carrie found her comfort zone AND the place she belonged, and it worked. Kelly being Pop was her misfortune. Nothing lasts anymore. She didn’t buy into it, and I don’t blame her. It took a lot of guts to do what she did.
